To get the best from your stove
you should burn well seasoned dry wood
with a moisture content below 20% that is well, but not too tightly
packed into the fire box. The more moisture there is in the wood, the
more it will smoke and possibly cause tar build up in the chimney. Not
only that but it will produce less heat. If the fire is too loosely
packed more air will circulate and a faster, less economical burn rate
result

Info
Apart from the "Supreme" and our "Puffin", the baby in our
multi-fuel range which is ideal for boats, caravans, mobile homes and small
rooms, both the "Bayswater" and "Chelsea" models are fitted
with a specially designed grate which can be riddled externally with the fire
burning and the doors closed, leaving the ash to collect under the grate in
the ashpan provided. As an accessory, we can supply a metal ash carrier with
its own lid, making ash removal quick, easy, clean and safe - no fuss no mess.
The multi purpose tool provided with all these stoves is used to open the doors,
operate the door vent, damper and flue outlet controls (where fitted). It is
also the handle for the removal of the ashpan, while the special slot fits over
the square end of the riddle bar if one is fitted. The tool, in it's pre and
post September 1999 versions is fully illustrated and its function explained
in the instruction book which comes with every stove.
All these models with the exception of the "Puffin" can be easily
and quickly converted to burn wood as well as solid fuels.
Villager is a family
owned and run business which was established in 1966. Originally toolmakers
and precision engineers, we recognise the importance of accuracy and consistency
from our experience working in conjuction with the aircraft industry and the
medical profession.
Some
25 years ago villager ventured into the world of stove manufacture initially
producing wood burners. The success of which prompted the design and development
of the current range of wood, solid fuel and gas fired appliances. These are
all produced from top quality, 5mm thick steel plate sourced in Britain, using
laser cutting machine and robotic welders together with cast iron components
from British forges. Each unit is then finished by hand ready for transportation

faults or breakages must be reported within
48 hrs of delivery or replacements can
not be sent out. PRICES VARY ACCORDING TO ITEM
